凯瑟琳∙格菲勒
艺术家生平
凯瑟琳•格菲勒是原籍瑞士的视觉艺术家。出生于纳沙泰尔，在纽约生活4年以后她目前生活和工作于巴黎及南法。获得法国文学和艺术史双硕士文凭于纳沙泰尔大学以及洛桑大学并在此任教多年。
她于1980年开始摄影生涯，投入于风景摄影并开始横跨各大洲的旅游。
1995年，她获得一笔奖学金前往纽约深入他的研究项目，并在纽约生活直到1999年。在此期间她创作了系列作品《城市壁雕》，长条的构图形式，由多张图片拼贴，叠加而成，让生活成为一个自己的类似于城市本身又远离于城市的宇宙。
1999年，她移居巴黎，并获得法国HSBC摄影奖。从此刻开始，城市，包含了一个隐喻的意义，并成为她后期工作的一个重要的灵感来源（多重构图，人像和城市，排列），融合摄影，录像，以及写作。一些女性摄影的系列作品（脱衣，跋涉者，里面的人）用女性身体描绘了一个沉浸于内部和外部的世界相互交织的游戏。
在2010-2011年期间，个展在瑞士拉绍德封美术馆，卢塞恩美术馆，塞特当代艺术美术中心展出。参观者被邀请在一个大型的由摄影和录像以及声音以及多屏投影组成的艺术装置中漫步，并被带入一个虚构的文学世界中。
